Day 1-3
 
USA, Reykjavík & Borgarnes
 
After an overnight flight, your Icelandic journey begins in Reykjavík. Spend your first day in Iceland at leisure getting to know your surroundings. Then, enjoy a city tour before departing to Borgarfjörður, known as the Saga Valley. See the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, and wrap up the day with a lecture about the Northern Lights and searching for the lights later at night.

Day 4
 
Snæfellsnes Peninsula
 
Travel to Snæfellsnes Peninsula, known for its landscapes made up of lava fields, volcanoes, glaciers, black and white beaches, and dramatic coastal cliffs. Visit the small fishing village of Grundarfjörður before joining a Hákarl preparation demonstration and exploring the depths of a lava tube. Learn some tips on how to photograph the Auroras as part of the Northern Lights Academy program.

Day 5-6
 
Golden Circle & South Iceland
 
After journeying the Hvalfjörður fjord, visit the UNESCO world heritage site at Þingvellir National Park. Arrive in Hella and search for the elusive Northern Lights. The next day, explore the Lava & Volcano Exhibition Center, Skógafoss waterfall, and Reynisfjara. End the day near Kirkjubæjarklaustur in the Vatnajökull National Park region, ideal for viewing the Northern Lights.

Day 7-9
 
Vatnajökull National Park, South Shore & Reykjavík
 
Admire the glacial lagoon filled with floating icebergs at Jökulsárlón, then spend time at Vatnajökull National Park, Europe's largest national park, before ending your day with a Northern Lights film. Travel to Vík en route to Reykjavík, and then witness Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Enjoy a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon before ending your Iceland journey and transferring back to the USA the following day.
