Ecuador

Our tours to Ecuador continue to operate as planned despite civil unrest that is taking place in certain areas of the country. As the safety of our passengers is always our primary concern, we will continue to closely monitor the situation on the ground. If the situation evolves and we need to make changes to our itineraries in Ecuador, we will certainly reach out to our passengers immediately.

Iceland

Our tours to Iceland continue to operate safely and without interruption. There have been a couple volcanic eruptions near the town of Grindavik over the last couple of months which led to temporary closures of the Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon reopened on January 20th.

Kenya

Effective immediately, Kenya is no longer requiring US citizens to obtain a visa to enter the country. However, all US citizens must now obtain the new ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization), in lieu of a visa, to enter Kenya. Our passengers can apply for the new ETA here: https://www.etakenya.go.ke/en

Israel

In light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, we have temporarily suspended our Israel tours with departure dates scheduled through September 30, 2024..

We want to assure you that your well-being is our top priority. For travelers booked on trips that include Israel, our team will contact you shortly with rescheduling information. There is no need to reach out to us at this time; we've got you covered.

At Friendly Planet Travel, we deeply value your trust in us and appreciate your understanding during these challenging times. We sincerely hope for a speedy resolution to the devastating conflict and peace for the Israelis and Palestinians.

There has been no change to travel advice for Egypt and Jordan. Our trips in Egypt & Jordan are running as scheduled.

Turkey
