Scandinavia: Viking Line Cruises
The
Viking Line commen-ced service in 1959, when the S/S Viking
began sailing between the Finnish main-land, the Åland
Islands, and Sweden. Today's Viking Line
has seven vessels which sail the Baltic states
and Scandinavia.
There are a variety of quality cabins to choose from, ranging
from a four-berth family cabin, to a De Luxe cabin or spacious
suite. All cabins have a toilet, shower, radio and air conditioning.
The
Viking Buffet is a traditional, plentiful buffet table serving
a variety of delicious cuisine, where you may eat and drink
as much as you like. Start with some cold fish dishes and perhaps
a schnapps. For the next platter they recommend cold cuts followed
by a selection of hot dishes.
Cheese
and sweet desserts are a worthy culmination of the dinner and
are enjoyed with coffee. Additional drinks such as vintage wines
and liqueurs are available from the service staff.

The Food Garden is the cruise's new restaurant concept.
It features different milieus and menus, all in the same restaurant.
Diversity and freedom of choice are the key elements. Choose
freely among Mediterranean-inspired and exotic appetizers, fresh
bread, a selection of cheeses and desserts. In addition, you
may purchase your favorite products at the Food Garden shop
to take home.
The
Mediterranean menu offers a selection of tasty, popular dishes
from Southern Europe. The Asian menu offers exotic Oriental
tastes. The Classical menu provides a first-rate traditional
restaurant atmosphere, with a menu including the most popular
classical dishes. An American-style Bar-B-Q House features steaks
and grilled dishes.

In the wine list you will find more than 70 carefully selected
labels, including specialty wines. The aperitif list includes
all the classics, many international drink favorites and the
specialties of the bartenders.
Live music never loses its charm. Viking Line proudly presents
catchy music, lively audiences, great entertainers and more.
Popular Finnish and international artists truly enjoy performing
for Viking Line audiences! Dancing occurs around-the-clock,
so if the mood takes you, you can enjoy the fun of the dance
floor even in the middle of the day! Onboard there are also
relaxing saunas, an indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi, and sauna
bars with barbeque facilities.
