M/S Mayakovski: Russian Czar Cruise
Built
specifically for river cruising and completely refurbished to
a high standard in 1992, the M/S Mayakovsky is today considered
one of the finest vessels on Russia's waterways. Passenger
numbers for these departures are restricted to 270, so with
110 crew, standards of service match the best.
Built
in the late seventies and specifically designed for cruising
the inland waterways, the MS "Mayakovski" was completely
refurbished in 2002 and has continually received the highest
praise for its friendly service, reasonable bar prices, and
a superb onboard entertainment program featuring lectures, seminars
and concerts performed by some of Russia's top entertainers.
Named after one of Russia's most famous poets, the "Vladimir
Mayakovski" is considered to be one of the best overall
ships in its class!
All
of the Mayakovski's Main, Middle and Upper Deck cabins
are outward facing with windows which open to spectacular seas
and Russia's exotic destinations. All cabins have private
toilet/shower facilities, refrigerators, forced air controls,
radio and ample closet space. The Main (2nd) Deck cabins are
about 100 sq. ft in size, the Middle (3rd) and Upper (4th) Deck
cabins are about 120 sq ft in size.
Facilities
on board include a restaurant, two bars, a cafe, TV/video room,
souvenir shop, library, hairdressing salon, cinema, piano bar,
observation lounge, and a sun deck. There are medical services
on board and the ship is fully air conditioned.
While on board, there is a continuous program of entertainment,
including music and dance provided by some of Russia and the
Ukraine's most famous entertainers; special concerts and
events on an optional basis; culinary afternoons - the ‘Blinis
Caviar and Champagne Party' is not to be missed - and
visits to out-of-the-way places. An English speaking guide is
on hand throughout your river cruise to advise and assist you
at all times.
