Opened in 1996, the Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort is located right on Inle Lake. The center of the resort houses a massive reception and dining hall that features rich teak wood and soaring peaked ceilings with intricate wooden beams. Floating amid Inle Lake and surrounded by mountains, the traditional cottages with thatched roofs and walls of bamboo mats offer the atmosphere of the local people’s life style. Enjoy the stunning picturesque remote beauty of the lake while breathing in fresh air. The 17th and 18th Century 1000 Stupas of Inn Dein is about a 45 minute boat ride away and the floating market of Heya Ywama Village is a 15 minute boat ride away.
