Detailed Itinerary

Kensington PalaceDay 1 – Monday, October 20: Depart USA. Your exciting journey to London begins today as you check in for your overnight flight from Charlotte to London.

Day 2 – Tuesday, October 21: London. Morning arrival in London. Meeting by our representatives, assistance through customs formalities, and transfer to your centrally located 4-star superior hotel. Enjoy a panoramic tour of London en route to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to begin your exploration of this fascinating city. Your hotel is in the beautiful Kensington area of London only two miles from Kensington Palace, Hyde Park and much more. Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington. Dinner provided.

Tower Bridge, LondonDay 3 – Wednesday, October 22: London. Morning sightseeing tour of London including visits to St. Pauls’ Cathedral, view of Buckingham Palace and a view of the Tower of London. Your tour will include a drive by Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, the London Eye, as well as a drive along Whitehall to Downing Street, home of the Prime Minister & Trafalgar Square. Lunch is included at a local restaurant today. This afternoon, you will visit Temple Church. This is the church of Inner and Middle Temple, two of England’s four ancient societies of lawyers, the Inns of Court; here to serve the two Inns’ members and staff, and all those who work in the oasis of calm known as The Temple. The remainder of the afternoon will be free at your leisure. Breakfast & lunch included.

Staute of Lady Justice, Old Bailey, LondonDay 4 – Thursday, October 23: London. Morning visit to the Old Bailey. Known as the Old Bailey, the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, is one of a number of buildings housing the Crown Court. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant today. Breakfast provided.

Day 5 – Friday, October 24: Oxford & Cambridge. This morning, you will depart on your full day excursion to Oxford & Cambridge including visits to both universities with guided tours included. Oxford University is one of the leading universities in the world. While there is no official date of foundation, there is evidence of teaching as far back as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English speaking world and the worlds’ second-oldest surviving university. After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled northeast to Cambridge, where they established what became the University of Cambridge. The two "ancient universities" are frequently jointly referred to as “Oxbridge”.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant today. Later this afternoon you will return to London to enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Breakfast & lunch provided.

Aerial view of Thames River, LondonDay 6 – Saturday, October 25: London. This morning will be free at your leisure. This afternoon, depart for your Thames River Cruise for an afternoon cruise from London to Greenwich including lunch. After your cruise, you will return from Greenwich to Central London via British Rail (Greenwich to Victoria) where you will be met at Victoria station for your transfer back to the hotel. Breakfast & lunch provided.

Day 7- Sunday, October 26: London. Enjoy your last day free at leisure on your own for sightseeing & last minute shopping. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at local restaurant. Breakfast & dinner provided.

Day 8 – Monday, October 27: London/USA. Today you'll bid London a fond farewell. You will be met and transferred to the airport to board your return flight to the USA. Your exciting journey comes to an end as you arrive in the USA later today. Breakfast provided.
