Avenue 9 de julio, Buenos AiresDay 1 Sunday, Jan 5: Depart USA. Your exciting journey to South America begins this evening as you depart on your overnight flight bound for Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital city.

Day 2 Monday, Jan 6: Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, after customs formalities, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodations: 725 Continental Hotel or similar. Breakfast & dinner provided.

Day 3 Tuesday, Jan 7: Buenos Aires. Your exploration begins at the Plaza del Mayo, historic and political center of the city. You'll see the Casa Rosada, the presidential palace from which Juan and Eva Perón spoke to throngs of adoring Argentinians. Continue to the Obelisk landmark on the Avenue 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world. Then to the crowded Florida Street, a true shoppers’ paradise. Pass through the colorful neighborhood of La Boca and the charming San Telmo area. Admire the French architecture in the exquisite Recoleta neighborhood, including the beautiful Cemetery of La Recoleta, where Evita Perón is buried. It is one of many ironies of this complex city that Evita, heroine of the poor, is buried in the city's most elegant (and expensive) section.

La BocaLa Boca is almost at the end of the city, leaning on the Riachuelo. Its landscape consists on houses made of corrugated plates, painted in bright colors. Caminito, the name of a tango, was composed after one of its immortal streets, and a famous artist, Benito Quinquela Martín, captured the neighborhood in his paintings. Enjoy a special Dinner and tango show. Overnight at the hotel. Breakfast & dinner provided.

Day 4 Wednesday, Jan 8: Full Day Argentinean Estancia Excursion. During one day you can enjoy the Pampa of Buenos Aires and discover the life of the “gauchos”. The Pampa is a sea of green grass that occupies a quarter of the country. Home of the legendary gaucho, all the romantic fantasies about Argentina are concentrated here.

Enjoy a typical lunch of “asado”. Afterward, you’ll experience a folklore show with typical dances and songs of the country.

Later this afternoon, you will return to Buenos Aires where dinner will be on your own. Overnight at the hotel. Breakfast & lunch provided.

Argentinian craft sellerDay 5 Thursday, Jan 9: Buenos Aires & Iguazú. This morning, you will transfer to Jorge Newbery airport for your flight to Iguazú (flight included). Upon arrival, you will depart for the Three Borders Landmark (Hito Tres Fronteras). This is a tourist attraction located a few blocks from downtown Puerto Iguazú, Argentina. The landmark is at the confluence of the Iguazú and Parana rivers. From here, you can see the Brazilian and Paraguayan coasts. Be sure to snap a photograph of the Fraternity Bridge (Tancredo Neves) which connects the cities of Puerto Iguazú, Argentina and Foz do Iguazú, Barzil and the Friendship Bridge (Puente de la Amistad) which connects Foz do Iguazú, Brazil with Cuidad del Este, Paraguay. Take some time to browse the handicrafts sold at the Craft Fair located here.

Aerial view of Devil's Throat, Iguazu FallsDay 6 Friday, Jan 10: Iguazú Falls. Iguazú means "Big Water" in the Guarani language. The waterfalls of this place are a colossal wonder that must be experienced and enjoyed with the five senses. They consist of 275 falls with a height of up to 70 meters. The Devil's Throat stretching out with walls of water 150 meters wide and 700 meters long, forming multiples rainbows. The Iguazú falls, one of the most beautiful on the planet, forms a part of the 55.000 ha. of the Iguazú National Park, declared by UNESCO as being part of Humanity's Natural Heritage. Lunch on your own today.

Vineyard, MendozaDay 7 Saturday, Jan 11: Iguazú & Mendoza. After breakfast you will depart to the local airport for your flight to Mendoza via Buenos Aires (flight included). On arrival to Mendoza, you will proceed to your hotel to enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Dinner is on your own this evening. Accommodations: InterContinental Mendoza or similar. Breakfast provided.

Day 8 Sunday, Jan 12: Mendoza (9am to 4:30pm). Discover the history of this beautiful city. See the plazas and learn about the rich history. The highlight of Mendoza is Park General San Martin, one of the largest parks in Argentina. The tour ends at the Cerro de la Gloria, where a stunning monument narrates the history of the South American independence.

General San Martin Park, MendozaContinue on your wine tour in Luján de Cuyo which offers great wines, spectacular views of the Andes, and prestigious wineries. With a fascinating combination of tradition and modernity, Lujan is home for some of the most renowned Malbecs of the world. This region is a perfect example of how men’s effort turned this dessert into a fertile Oasis. During this tour you will learn about traditional irrigation systems, in contrast with the newest technology, providing you with an understanding of the basic components of wine-production in Mendoza.

Enjoy a three course lunch at a local winery.

Later, you will return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at the hotel. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Lake Potrerillos, MendozaDay 9 Monday, Jan 13: Full Day High Mountain Excursion (9am to 6pm). This trip climbs into the heart of the Andes. Start this journey heading south through the famous route 40, across the vineyards and past hundreds of fruit and olive trees. The international route number 7, which is part of the famous Pan-American Highway, will get you inside the precordillera, the first range of the Andes Mountains. Let your imagination find the hidden shapes in the rock formations and understand how these mountains were formed. On the way you will see the Potrerillos Lake, and shortly after, the town of Uspallata, where the movie “Seven years in Tibet” was filmed. The road continues along the Mendoza River Canyon and eventually arrives at the ¨Inca Bridge.¨ This astonishing wonder of nature is supposed to be the path the Incas might have followed five centuries ago. When you arrive to the highest point of the trip, catch a view of Aconcagua, the highest mountain in America and the Southern Hemisphere! Lunch is on your own today. Afterwards, return to Mendoza for dinner & overnight at the hotel. Breakfast and dinner provided.

Tigre Rowing ClubDay 10 Tuesday Jan 14: Mendoza & Buenos Aires. Transfer to the local airport this morning for your flight to Buenos Aires (flight included). On arrival, you will be met & transferred to your hotel. Afternoon visits scheduled to meet with lawyers (details to be confirmed later).

Day 11 Wednesday, Jan 15: Buenos Aires. This morning you will depart on your morning excursion to Tigre. The beautiful town of Tigre, situated an island in the Paraná Delta, was first settled by Europeans and has become a fashionable weekend spot, with its grand architecture, antiques shops, riverside restaurants and pubs, a casino and a small amusement park. Enjoy a catamaran ride through the labyrinth of islands and islets along the delta, which is lined with countless marinas and English-style rowing clubs, humble dwellings and elegant mansions from the "Belle Époque", small hotels and upscale lodges, teahouses and picnic sites. Afternoon free at leisure. Breakfast provided.

Day 12 Thursday, Jan 16: Buenos Aires. Today you will bid farewell to South America and transfer to the airport early evening for your return overnight flight back to Miami. Breakfast provided.

Day 13 Friday, Jan 17: Arrive USA. Your unforgettable South American adventure comes to an end as you touch down in Miami this morning.
