We’ll see the Jewish Quarter where we visit the Rabbinic Tunnels and the Western Wall, the most sacred spot in Jewish religious and national consciousness, by virtue of its proximity to the Western Wall of the Holy of Holies in the Temple. Each step takes us further into Jerusalem's history as we visit the Davidson Center, the Southern Steps, and move to the original City of David. We'll visit Mt. Zion and the Upper Room, we’ll visit David's Tower and museum and enjoy browsing and shopping in the colorful bazaars. We end our day with a special time of worship, reflection and communion at the lovely Garden Tomb. Breakfast and dinner provided.

King Herod's palace ruinsDay 8 - Thursday, Nov 14: Jerusalem, Shiloh & Herodian. After breakfast, we board our touring coach and journey to Shiloh. Before the Temple in Jerusalem, the Tabernacle stood here for 369 years. It was here that Hannah prayed for a child. That son was Samuel. We continue on to Herodian, built on the spot where Herod won a victory over his Hasmonean enemies in 40 BCE. To commemorate the event, the king built a fortress and a palace which he named after himself, located on a hill shaped like a truncated cone that rises 758 m. above sea level. It has a breathtaking view, overlooking the Judean Desert, the mountains of Moab, and the Judean Hills. In the evening, we'll proceed from our hotel to the Old City where we'll experience a night time spectacle! The walls of the David Citadel serve as a stage for a night time show which is a celebration of sight and sound. Amidst the archaeological remains in the Citadel's courtyard and to the sound of original music, the story of Jerusalem unfolds through giant breathtaking, virtual reality images. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Breakfast and dinner provided.
