Tuesday, Feb 14: USA/Israel. Departure on the first leg of our overnight trip to Israel. Aloft, we will have dinner, a little sleep time, breakfast, and the opportunity to praise the Lord for His great creation from the vantage point of 35,000 feet!
Wednesday, Feb 15: Tel Aviv. We arrive at Ben Gurion Airport where we are met by our guide for assistance through customs and transferred to our hotel in Tel Aviv.
Thursday, Feb 16: Caesarea, Mount Carmel & Tiberias. After a visit to Independence Hall, where the new State of Israel was declared, we drive north along the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea, Roman capital of Judea. Here we view the beautifully restored theater, and the ruins of the ancient town, its harbor and aqueduct. We travel inland to Megiddo (Biblical Armageddon), then continue to Muhraka on Mt Carmel, where Elijah defeated the priests of Ba'al. We continue to Tiberias and our hotel on the Sea of Galilee for dinner and overnight.
Saturday, Feb 18: Tiberias & Petra. Visit Kibbutz Ginossar on the Sea of Galilee, where we view an excavated boat dating from the time of Jesus, then drive south via the Jordan Valley to the Sheikh Hussein border and cross into Jordan. Continue south via the Kings Highway to Petra. Petra Taybet Zaman Breakfast & dinner provided.
Sunday, Feb 19: Petra, Madaba, Mt. Nebo & Dead Sea. Today we'll visit the Nabatean capital of Petra, a secret and mystical city carved more than 2,000 years ago in pink sandstone. Enter this unique and magnificent place via the siq, a narrow crevice in the rock, and view the Treasury, Monastery and other remains of the ancient city. After a tour, including a portion on horseback, drive north to Madaba, where we'll view the 6th-century AD mosaic map of the Holy Land and Mt. Nebo, from which Moses viewed the Promised Land. Continue on to the Allenby Bridge and cross back into Israel. Drive to the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight. Magic Nirvana Resort Breakfast & dinner provided.
Monday, Feb 20: Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran & Jerusalem. After breakfast, ascend to the fortress of Masada, where Jewish defenders made their last stand against Rome (AD 73) then continue along the shore of the Dead Sea to Ein Gedi, David's waterfall and a wonderful nature center. On to Qumran to see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, then drive north, up to Jerusalem, highlight of our tour. Dan Panorama Hotel Breakfast & dinner provided.
Enter the Old City within the walls and walk the Via Dolorosa, the agonizing route Jesus walked with the cross on the way to Gulgotha. We'll also see the Burnt House of Katros where we'll enjoy a tour film, the City of David and the Temple Site on Mt. Moriah.
Friday, Feb 24: Israel/USA. Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport and board your return flight to the USA, arriving later this afternoon.
Astonishingly beautiful...spiritually rich. Having traveled the world, this by far is the best trip I have ever taken. There is nothing to compare to the magnificence of Israel, I came back a changed person.

ACCOMMODATIONS are in superior class hotels, in twin-bedded rooms with private facilities. You will receive a detailed list of all the accommodations on your tour, including addresses and telephone numbers, with your travel documents.
MEALS are breakfast and dinner daily. Beverages are not included except coffee and tea with breakfast and dinner.
TRANSFERS & TOURING are provided by modern, air-conditioned touring coaches. All entrance fees to places visited in the itinerary are included except those mentioned as optional.
TOUR PRICE is based on a group of 20 or more passengers (not counting clergy and spouses traveling at the special, discounted rates) and includes flights from San Francisco, hotel accommodations, meals as indicated, touring per itinerary including entrance fees, hotel taxes, and porterage. Our rates do not include passports, or any items of a personal nature. Should group be fewer than 20 passengers (not counting clergy and spouses traveling at the special, discounted rates), a small supplement to the tour price will apply. All prices are based on air and land tariffs in effect at time of printing, May 2005, subject to change by our suppliers without notice. We will bill each passenger who reserves this tour $300 for tips and airport departure taxes, which we will prepay for you.
DEPOSIT of $300 per person is required when placing reservations. Final payment is due by 65 days prior to departure.
UNUSED SERVICES As all tours are based on group travel, no refunds will be granted for missed sightseeing trips, meals, transfers or hotel accommodations not used. No changes in hotels, deviations or extensions in the itinerary are allowed on this tour unless arranged prior to departure from the U.S.A.
CANCELLATIONS of reservations must be made in writing. Refund in full will be made up to 96 days prior to departure, excluding a $50 per person administrative fee and the insurance premium cost of $129. Cancellations within 95 days prior to departure are subject to the following charges:

INSURANCE Cancellation fees are charged by our suppliers and are out of our control. Therefore, in order to avoid costly cancellation penalties should you have to cancel your tour prior to departure, we strongly suggest that you purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance to cover losses. Special group coverage is available through Friendly planet Travel at a cost of $129 per person. Coverage includes Trip Cancellation and Interruption up to a total cost of your tour, medical expense coverage and baggage insurance. Certain exclusions and limitations apply. Coverage includes pre-existing conditions if insurance is purchased by no later than 7 days after date of reservation. If you require pre-existing condition coverage, please check the reservation application so that we can arrange for you to have insurance by the deadline of 7 days after receiving your deposit. Complete terms will be sent with your invoice and confirmation packet. Details of our insurance program are found on our website, www.friendlyplanet.com. We will add the $129 per person premium to your invoice. If you do not wish to take advantage of this special coverage, you need only delete this item from your final payment for your tour.
