Saturday, May 21: USA/Israel. Depart from U.S.
Sunday, May 22: Arrive in Tel Aviv. Transfer to our hotel.
Roman Theater at Caesarea
Monday, May 23: Caesarea, Meggido, Nazareth, Cana. Starting at the Herodian City of Caesarea, visit the Theater, the Palace, the Cardo, the Hippodrome, and discuss the Harbor. Our journey continues with a visit to the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth. We will then travel on to Cana where Jesus transformed the water into wine. Overnight in Galilee.

Tuesday, May 24: Capernaum. We will visit the Church of the Loaves and Fishes, the Primacy of Peter Church, the Church of the Beatitudes and enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Also in Capernaum we will visit Peter's Mother-in-Law's house and the Synagogue. Overnight in Galilee.
Wednesday, May 25: Golan Heights. Today we will see strategic security points. We will take a nature walk at Tel Dan, one of the most northern points of Israel, from which we will be able to see points of Syria and Lebanon. Overnight in Galilee.
Thursday, May 26: We will visit Belvoir, a Crusader Castle with a fantastic view. We will visit Beth Shean, the city where King Saul's body hung on the wall and King David cried over death of his beloved friend Jonathan. While there we will visit the Theater and the Roman Baths. We will prepare ourselves to go up to Jerusalem and enter its gates with songs of joy.

Friday, May 27: Jerusalem, Old City. Zion upper room, the Jewish Quarter and the Church of Peter of Galicantu. We will discuss the Last Supper in the Upper Room, visit Caiphas' house and pray at the Western Wall as well as visit the Pinnacle of the Temple. We will visit the World of the Bible Gardens of Biblical Resources and enjoy a Roman meal. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Saturday, May 28: Mt. Of Olives, Gethsemane, St. Stephen's Gate, St. Anne's Church (Bethesda pools) and the Via Dolorosa. Today we will visit the Christian and Moslem quarters of the city. We will walk the Palm Sunday Way, visiting the points important to Jesus' last week in Jerusalem. We will visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations, and walk the Way of the Cross and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Sunday, May 29: New City of Jerusalem. Today we will visit the Israel Museum, the Holy Land Model of Jerusalem, Yad Vashem and have communion at The Garden Tomb.
Monday, May 30: Israel/USA. Depart for home.

Monday, May 30: Amman, Jordan. We will drive south to Amman. After crossing the border we will visit Jerash which has the beautiful Oval Forum, Roman Temples and Byzantine churches. An Amman city tour will show us the Roman Theater and the Universities and King's Palace. Amman is one of the Decapolis cities and in Jesus' time was called Philadelphia.

Tuesday, May 31: Today we will travel to Madaba, a city which has the mosaic of the earliest ever map of Jerusalem. The way to Petra is also part of the Exodus way, crossing the borders between the Amorites and Edomites. We will have a view of Machaerus, Herod Agrippa's Palace where John the Baptist was decapitated. Overnight in Petra.
Lost City Of Petra, Jordan
Wednesday, June 1: Petra. Called the Rose Rock City, the ancient city of Petra is hidden among the ancient canyons of southern Jordan, where it was half-carved, half-built into the pink sandstone cliffs more than 2000 years ago by an industrious Arab people, the Nabataens. We will walk in the Siq, visit the Treasury and several other monuments. We will ride horses part of the way and you can even try a Camel Ride if you choose to. After lunch we will drive back to Amman.
Thursday, June 2: We will drive to Mt. Nebo and visit the place where God took Moses at the end of the Exodus journey to show him the Promised Land, although Moses was not allowed to continue on—however, we will. We will cross the Jordan River into Israel
and drive to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Friday, June 3:
Early morning transfer to Ben Gurion Airport to board our return flight
to Zurich and then the USA, arriving later this afternoon.

About Jim Fleming, your guide and teacher
Jim Fleming
Your guide and teacher will be Dr. Jim Fleming, Director of Biblical Resources Study Center in Jerusalem. Dr. Fleming has lived and worked in Israel since 1974. Dr. Fleming has studied in the United States and Israel, earning his Ed.D. from Southwestern Theological Seminary. He has taught at the School for Overseas Students, Hebrew University and worked as a cartography consultant with the Curriculum Department of the Israeli Ministry of Education. Dr. Fleming is also on the Advisory Board of Biblical Archaeology Review.
Dr. James Fleming, "Jim" as he is known to the many who have enjoyed his teaching around the world both on tour or in the classroom, serves as Director of Biblical Resources Study Center in Jerusalem, Israel, an ecumenical organization serving Christians around the world. He is also founder of the World of the Bible Archaeological Museum and Pilgrim Center at Ein Karem, Jerusalem. He has lived and worked in Israel since 1974, and he has developed courses of study in historical geography and biblical history.
Jim divides his time lecturing around the world, leading study tours to the Holy Land and the Mediterranean World, and teaching guide courses and directing the World of the Bible Garden in Ein Karem, Jerusalem. Through lectures and study tours, he weaves Archaeology, History, Geography, and Theology together to help us understand Biblical times and the events, hopes and fears of the people in various Biblical periods.
