Friday, Feb 15 - Day 1: Depart USA. Depart on our overnight flight to Israel. Aloft, we will have dinner, time to sleep, breakfast, and the opportunity to praise the Lord for His beautiful creation from the vantage point of 35,000 feet!
Saturday, Feb 16 - Day 2: Arrive Tel Aviv, Israel. After arriving at Ben Gurion airport, we begin our Biblical journey in the Hall of Independence in Tel Aviv, where Israel declared its rebirth as nation in 1948. Then to the Dan Panorama hotel in Tel Aviv for some time to relax and enjoy our first Israeli dinner. Dinner provided.
Sunday, Feb 17 - Day 3: Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Tel Megiddo, Nazareth, Tiberias. This is a huge day in our tour, beginning with the journey north along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea, signiicant in numerous accounts in the book of Acts. We then travel to Mt.Carmel, the site of Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Baal, and tel Megiddo, overlooking the Valley of Armageddon, and as our day closes we drive through Nazareth and Tiberias, arriving at our Kibbutz hotel, Nof Ginosar, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, for dinner and overnight. There will be a brief time of reflection and worship after dinner. Accommodations: Nof Ginosar. Breakfast & dinner provided.
Monday, Feb 18 - Day 4: Around the Sea of Galilee. This day we enjoy numerous sites along the shores of the Sea of Galilee, including the villages of Capernaum, Korazin, and Bethsaida, as well as the locations of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, the feeding of the 5000, and the restoration of Peter as recorded in John 21. We’ll also enjoy a very special celebration where those who wish to be baptized in the Jordan River will have that opportunity. A highlight of the day will be a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and a visit to the “Jesus Boat”, an authentic first century fishing boat. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. Dinner provided.
Tuesday, Feb 19 - Day 5: Mt. Hermon, Dan, Banias & Golan Heights. Today we journey north to the beautiful, forested, and often snow covered Mount Hermon and the fascinating ancient sites of Dan and Caesarea Philippi (Banyas). We return south through the Golan Heights and the ancient Israelite city of Hazor. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. Dinner provided.
Wednesday, Feb 20 - Day 6: Beit She’an, Qumran, & Ein Gedi. Today we head south to Beit She’an, Qumran, and Ein Gedi, arriving early at our hotel on the Dead Sea in time for some relaxation in the spas, leisure, dinner, and overnight.
Thursday, Feb 21 - Day 7: Dead Sea, Masada & Jerusalem. Our day begins on top of the fortress of Masada, where Jewish zealots made their last stand against Rome in A.D. 73. Travel to Arad and Beer Sheva en route to Jerusalem. Overnight at our Jerusalem hotel, where we will stay for the remainder of our time in Israel.
Friday, Feb 22 - Day 8: Old City of Jerusalem. Today we focus on sites in the Old City of Jerusalem, including the southern Temple steps in the archaeological park and the hidden rabbinic tunnels behind the Western Wall. End the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner provided.
Saturday, Feb 23 - Day 9: Jerusalem. In the morning we’ll visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, and the Shepherds’ fields in nearby Beit Sahour. Here we’ll visit a wonderful olive wood and gift store, operated by a co-op of Palestinian Christian families. The afternoon is free to enjoy shopping, relaxing, or personal sightseeing in and around Jerusalem. Dinner provided.
Sunday, Feb 24 - Day 10: Jerusalem. Our morning will take us to the Holocaust Memorial Museum at Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum, and other sites in Jerusalem’s New City. We return to Old City Christian quarter for lunch, a walk through the Via Dolorosa and a number of other significant Biblical Jerusalem sites. This evening we’ll enjoy a special farewell dinner at our hotel. For those who are so inclined, this will be a delightful evening to enjoy a stroll through festive Ben Yahuda street after dinner. Late evening transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your overnight flight to the U.S.A. Dinner provided.
