Day 1: Depart USA. Your exciting journey to the Norwegian Fjords begins this evening as you check-in for your overnight jet flight bound for Copenhagen.
Day 2: Arrive in Copenhagen. After customs formalities, you'll be escorted to the port in Copenhagen, where you'll board the Costa Magica for your weeklong cruise.
Day 3: At sea. Enjoy a day at leisure aboard the Costa Magica. Treat yourself to a sauna, Turkish bath or shiatsu massage in the luxurious spa facilities, Work out in the ultra-modern and well-appointed fitness center. Stretch your legs on the track or tennis/basketball court. Relax in one of the three swimming pools, or take part in one of the many fitness classes including aerobics, stretching, body-dancing, step, and more. All of this plus the Magica's 11 bars, 4 restaurants, a theater extending over three decks, a casino, disco, and ballroom will keep you happily occupied as you sail to your first port of call, Flam. Day 4: Flam, Norway. Nestled between a fjord and a sheer cliff overlooking the sea, Flam is a picturesque Norwegian village brimming with the beauty of its natural surroundings and the warm hospitality of its inhabitants. Flam serves as the starting point for one of Europe's most exciting train rides.
Traveling at heights of over 2700 feet above sea level, this train ride guarantees magnificent, unrivaled views. You'll pass the scenic waterfalls of Stalheimfossen and Sivlefoss in the nearby Naeroy Valley. Along the way, you'll visit the ancient church of Hopperstad. Join this optional train ride or explore this charming village on your own.
Day 5: Hellesylt and Geiranger, Norway. This morning, make a brief stop in Hellesylt, the gateway to more spectacular Norwegian scenery. Passengers taking the optional shore excursion in Hellesylt will disembark here. Continue sailing to the hill-top village of Geiranger. In addition to the spectacular attraction of the fjord itself, the village is known for its river salmon and cod fishing. Join an interesting optional excursion to Djupavnett Lake and the Dalsnibba Glacier or explore Geiranger on your own.
Day 6: Bergen, Norway. Once Norway's capital city, Bergen is now Norway's second largest city with a population of around 200,000. At every turn, visitors will find evidence of its former glory as Norway's greatest shipping port. A destination of architectural, historical and natural fascination, the city lies facing the sea with a dramatic backdrop of seven hills. Interesting sites include St. Mary's Church, a well-preserved 12th century stone building. The Hanseatic Museum in the centre of Bergen near the Fish Market is one of the city's best-preserved wooden buildings. Explore on your own or join an optional excursion.
Day 7: Kristiansand, Norway. Located at the southernmost tip of Norway, Kristiansand offers some of Norway's best beaches and boating areas—not to mention delicious seafood delivered fresh from the picturesque fishing villages of the Norwegian Riviera. Explore on your own or join an optional excursion.
Day 8: Oslo, Norway. Disembark today at the Norwegian capital of Oslo. This historic city includes many architectural and cultural highlights, such as the world-famous Viking Ship Museum and the 14th century Akershus Castle. The open-air Vigeland Park features 200 works of celebrated Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. The nearby winter Olympic ski resort of Holmenkollen provides spectacular views of Norway's capital city. Take advantage of optional excursions or explore Oslo on your own.
Day 9: Copenhagen, Denmark. Arrive in Copenhagen this morning. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Denmark's vibrant capital city. This fairy-tale city of Hans Christian Andersen enchants and charms visitors and residents alike. Fall under the spell of the various magical castles in Copenhagen, including the Amelianborg Palace, home of the Danish Royals, the Rosenberg Castle and its dazzling Royal Jewels, and in nearby Elsinore, the castle haunted by Hamlet. Explore Tivoli Gardens park or stroll along narrow streets, filled with shops and restaurants.
Day 10: Copenhagen, Denmark/USA.Your memorable journey ends this afternoon as your transfer independently to the airport for your return flight to the USA.

Other Cruise Dates: This featured sailing of the Costa Magica offers specially negotiated savings on inside, outside and veranda cabins. Other sailing dates may be available, but prices depend upon space at the time of booking. If you can't take advantage of our special travel dates but wish to travel at another time, call us to check the options. We'll do our very best to accommodate your schedule as well as your budget.
Cabins: Friendly Planet prices are based on category 1 & 2 (inside cabins), category 6 & 7 (outside cabins) and category 8 & 9 (veranda cabins). Other categories and/or decks are available on request, subject to availability and additional charges.
Single Rooms/Cabins: Single supplements for this program depend upon actual cabin confirmed but will range between $1389 in Category 1 to $1859 in Category 8. The actual single supplement price will depend upon your cabin and your date of travel, if other than 6/30/07 and will be quoted upon confirmation of your cabin.

Important Notes: Due to the popularity of this cruise, confirmation on this program is subject to space availability and may not be possible to confirm instantly. We will advise you within 48 hours if we can confirm your reservation. In the meantime, if we are unable to confirm your reservation instantly, no credit cards will be debited for deposits or payments until we are able to confirm your reservations according to your request.
Waitlisting on Sold-Out Departures: If your preferred departure is sold out, you can place yourself on a waitlist by completing the online reservation form and submitting it to us. Just click on the "waitlist" button, complete the form and click "submit". In the comments box at the very bottom of the form, please write any notes regarding your request, especially any flexibility you might have in your dates of travel. This way, if your first choice doesn't clear, we can try for a second or third choice. We will make every effort to clear your space in a timely way so that you can join us on tour. You do not need to send any deposits for waitlists. When we clear your space, we'll contact you immediately by phone or email, and if you still wish to travel, we will arrange for deposits or payments at that time. We regret that we cannot accept waitlists beyond 35 days prior to departure. If you see "sold out" next to the dates you wish to reserve or waitlist, please note that this departure is now closed, including waitlist possibilities.
