Samburu Simba lodge is overlooking the Buffalo springs and the Uaso Nyiro River. From your room you have a fantastic view over the stunning plains, where elephants are grazing. Nearby rare game including reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa orynx and long-necked gerunuk can be seen. Samburu Simba lodge is situated 300 km north of Nairobi, in Buffalo Springs Game reserve, within the Isiolo District. The entire ecosystem in the area is sustained mainly by the water from Uaso Nyiro where there's a narrow band of doum palms, riverine forests and grasslands. The high faunal concentration at the waterholes and riverbank is a gift for the wildlife watcher.
You can spend your free time cooling off in the swimming pool or watching wildlife at a watering hole from the lounge. Enjoy a tradtional meal in the lodge’s restaurant followed by an evening of entertainment provided by Samburu traditional dancers. You may also want to relax at the lounge with a Tusker beer, or conversation with friends.
