On the island of Borneo, the Batang Ai Longhouse Resort is located on the shores of a spectacular fresh water lake, surrounded by mountains and the unspoiled ancient rainforests of Sarawak where guests arrive by boat. The 58-acre eco-tourism resort comprises 11 indigenous timber longhouses based on the native architectural design of the Iban tribe. Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort perfectly combines the traditional elements of this region's rich and vibrant culture with the latest in hotel accommodation facilities.

The Hilton Longhouse offers 100 air-conditioned rooms built in traditional longhouse style. These guest rooms are located in eleven wooden ‘longhouses’ which are raised on stilts and connected by a wooden platform which snakes its way around the resort. The standard rooms have either queen-sized or twin beds and feature individually controlled air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, private shower and toilet, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, television and international direct dial telephones.

The resort offers an award-winning restaurant, beautiful pool area, a children’s game centre, a karaoke room, and an outdoor activity center.

Guests of the resort can enjoy a wide variety of water sports and jungle activities such as canoeing, kayaking, longboat excursions, visits to the native longhouses, jungle trekking and hiking, along with trips to nearby pepper, cocoa, rubber and oil palm estates and traditional open-air markets at Sri Aman and historic Fort Alice.

Journey deep into the forest on an exhilarating canopy walk accompanied by the hotel’s naturalist. Then finish the day with a sunset cruise through the water dwellings of the local traders, before returning to the luxury of the resort.
