The Emerald
Louis Cruise Lines is a Cyprus-based company with a fleet of 10 ships, several of which have been chosen for Friendly Planet's Athens and Greek Islands Cruises: the majestic MS Perla, the impressive MS Emerald and the MS Sea Diamond. All three ships have established themselves as popular choices among passengers who enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, exotic destinations, and a unique on-board ambience that reflects intimacy and elegance.
The Louis Group became interested in maritime tourism from very early on when it chartered ships for the first time after World War II, subsequently becoming the general agent for many shipping companies. It acquired the first self-owned cruise ship Princesa Marissa in 1986 thereby setting up Louis Cruise Lines. Louis Cruise Lines owns ten ships total, some of which have been used for NATO conferences and International Exhibitions.
Louise Cruise ships maintain the highest standards of service and quality and are continuously upgraded and refurbished. The MS Emerald was originally built for Grace Lines as the Santa Rosa and sailed for Regency and Louis before coming to Thomson Holidays under charter.
Emerald Cabin
The cabins aboard the
MS Emerald feature tastefully furnished interiors with ample closet space and en-suite facilities. All cabins are air-conditioned and equipped with shower, toilet, washbasin, 220v / 110v outlets, television, telephone, and safety box. Ship amenities include a dining room, entertainment lounges, piano bar, swimming pool, casino, fitness center, shopping arcade and boutiques, beauty salon, children's club, four elevators and a doctor on board.
Emerald Disco
From Broadway shows to a relaxing quiet drink, there's entertainment on board for everyone. The Regency Lounge offers production shows every evening that showcase professional entertainers; or choose the Monte Carlo Court as an ideal alternative for live performances and a variety of stimulating entertainment. At the Lounge Royale Casino you can enjoy a pre-show drink or try your luck at poker, blackjack and roulette. There are five more bars offering everything from live bands, disco dancing and midnight cabaret. If you enjoy sipping a drink outdoors, then head for the Lido Bar next to the pool.
The Emerald does not just offer places to eat and drink – its Spa & Beauty Salon is the ultimate place to be rejuvenated. Pamper yourself with a new hairstyle, manicure and pedicure, or indulge in a massage, beauty and body treatments including Dead Sea mud and mineral wraps. The fitness room is equipped for both resistance and cardiovascular training and features a mixed sauna. At night aboard the MS Emerald, you can enjoy a show, try your luck in the casino, dance in our disco till early morning hours, or enjoy a romantic stroll on deck under the star-studded sky as you sail towards your next destination.
